The Washington County District Attorney’s Office, located in the Portland metropolitan area, is now accepting qualified applicants for the entry level position of Deputy District Attorney I as well as experienced applicants for the position of Deputy DA III or IV.  The entry level positions will be in the misdemeanor criminal prosecution unit and the advanced level position will be in the felony criminal prosecution unit.  Positions are responsible for all aspects of the prosecution of criminal cases, including charging decisions, case management, negotiations and trials. Applicants for a DDA III or IV position should have at least two years of prosecution experience including experience handling a felony-level caseload with a demonstrated track record of trial litigation.

Salary ranges are: DDA I - $80,000 to $95,787; DDA III/IV - $100,872 to $167,959.

Applicants for DDA positions must be a member of the Oregon State Bar or have a Bar membership application pending.

  • Transcripts from both undergrad and law school (unofficial is acceptable)
  • 3 letters of reference (at least 2 from attorneys or judges)
